user's time/date with PHP script
Hopefully someone can help me figure out how to solve the following problem...I have a calendar portal powered by a PHP script. I display the "current date" and allow the user to "jump to" today's date. The problem is that the script uses the server's time and date, not the user's time and date. So obviously this doesn't always work out properly due to time zone differences.
I know I could have the user enter in their time zone in their user profile and then make the proper adjustment, but I don't really want to bother them with this sort of nonsence. After all, they've got other things on their mind, such as Window's blue screens of death, catching reruns of Gilligan's Island, and world peace.
Is there any way to get the user's time with PHP? I've looked at the PHP documentation till I'm cross-eyed and I couldn't find any such function or variable. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Just means that I might not be smart enough.
Any ideas?
Anyhow, thanks in advance. Uhh, gotta run... "Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale..."
