Strange Date/Time/Regional Settings with 2k Server/2k Pro

Okies, out of the blue, all of our local sites (including intranet) have just reverted to US date format and US curency ($), we are in the UK....

Not sure why this has happened, I have checked Regional settings, everything is correct, I have performed a reset, which I was hoping would fix the issue...

What I find extremely odd is that when I change ANY of the details in the Regional settings (e.g. currency symbol, date format, decimal places etc), none of it is seen in the hosted sites (all these sites are written in ASP (VBs) and some in VBa (VBScript)

I have seen this problem with a 2k Pro workstation on our network, which was used with IIS 5 to compile local DLL applications, for some reason it was doing the same on that system, and now seems to be doing it on our internal server ?

Nothing has changed configuration wise, I have checked and double checked the regional settings... what gives ?
