Please help a newbie
I have just got my own server and I run a small hosting business. I got a managed server form a supplier on this forum and they said they'd manage it 24*7. I even paid extra for the monitoring software that monitors the server. It's not a cheap RS server either. I bought a dearer server in a quality datacenter with supposably 24*7 real HUMAN support. I have contacted their support techs but nothing back in hours. I'd say they're sleeping.
Well, all the IPs now fail to resolve. The main domain of the server no longer resolves. I'm using WHM/CPanel and all is fine according to the server status page. I look at the status of apache and it says it can't find it or something. I restarted HTTP and it said to contact the server admins.
I don't mind problems popping up here and there. That's the nature of hosting. But it's so damn frustrating to be kept waiting while they are supposed to be doing their job and it's obvious that they're asleep or something.
Sorry, but I just wanted to vent a bit.
