Relaying?
I'm having a little problem with my email. For some reason everytime someone tries to email a user on my domain, they get the email returned to them, saying relaying denied.Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the relaying only apply to sending "from" the server? I use ensim, and all email works fine for all my customers, with virtual sites. It's on the main server domain, that this error is occurring. I can send email perfectly, but when people try to reply or send me messeges, they get returned to them.
When viewing a report on my domain from dnsreport.com I get:
Code:
FAIL Acceptance of postmaster address ERROR: One or more of your mailservers does not accept mail to postmaster@domain.com. Mailservers are required (RFC822 6.3, RFC1123 5.2.7, and RFC2821 4.5.1) to accept mail to postmaster. mail.domain.com's postmaster response: >>> RCPT TO: <postmaster@domain.com> <<< 550 5.7.1 ... Relaying denied WARN Acceptance of abuse address WARNING: One or more of your mailservers does not accept mail to abuse@domain.com. Mailservers are expected by RFC2142 to accept mail to abuse. mail.domain.com's abuse response: >>> RCPT TO: <abuse@domain.com> <<< 550 5.7.1 ... Relaying denied
Code:
FAIL Number of nameservers ERROR: You have less than two nameservers. You are required to have at least 2 nameservers (RFC2182 section 5 recommends at least 3 nameservers). FAIL Reverse DNS entries for MX records ERROR: One of more of your mail server(s) have no reverse DNS (PTR) entries. RFC1912 2.1 says you should have a reverse DNS for all your mail servers. It is strongly urged that you have them, as many mailservers will not accept mail from mailservers with no reverse DNS entry. The problem MX records are: 207.241.40.216.in-addr.arpa [No reverse DNS entry] FAIL Acceptance of postmaster address ERROR: One or more of your mailservers does not accept mail to postmaster@mail.domain.com. Mailservers are required (RFC822 6.3, RFC1123 5.2.7, and RFC2821 4.5.1) to accept mail to postmaster.
You guys have any ideas?
All help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Stephen
