root can't get ssh access
Can anyone help with this, i have been trying to login as root via ssh and i dont have access.
When i try SU i get ::
su: cannot run /root: Permission denied
i have physical access to the machine so i have tried everything, i even went into single user mode and changed the root password, now the strange thing is even from the machine root cant login i have a user that i created that can login but only this user..
Any ideas?
i looked at sshd_config and root access is ON...
anyinsight on this?
Why would root not be allowed acceess when i am physically loggin at the server.
I thought the server may be hacked, but there are no signs of it, i have trip wires in place to let me know if key system files are changed etc...
