does this sound like a DNS issue?

My site has been having trouble for the past few months and I think it's gotta be a DNS issue.

Here's what is happening:

I've had many, many users tell me that they can not get into the site at certain times (totally random) and they get DNS error messages.

I have not run into this problem at all so I'm oblivious when it is happening.

But, there are way too many people reporting this to be just something random. I've contaced my host and they say nothing is wrong but I'm convinced that something is going on.
