TCP/IP Rip? what is it
Rare I have problems with my DSL but when I do, its a problem lemme tell you. First off (no flaming) my brother wanted DSL on his system and he uses Windows Me. I get the same problem here that I did on my win2k system but upgrading Enternet software fixed that problem. WinME just retains the same problem no matter what software I use. It refuses to pick up the DNS entries even if their forced in or manually put in. So i bring up my network properties and remove all adapters and protocals and leave nothing in there but what makes the DSL works and still nothing. I bring up msconfig, disable all startup programs and it works. It seems that it conflicts with AOL's adapters. Now why it does it on WinMe i have no clue. Anyway, someone suggested doing a TCP/IP rip. What exactly is this?I know im getting bad IP configurations even with everything manually configured but, only the AOL adapter has some sort of effect, so its disabled at the moment.
What gives?
