CPanel buildapache nightmare

Hi,

a few hours ago I downloaded and ran the latest buildapache.sea from CPanel on one of my servers. Since I have done this, my server seems to be one sick puppy.

Apache won't restart anymore from within WHM, but will restart if I do it via SSH, but it gives a load of errors in the process:

[Sat Sep 21 03:59:21 2002] [warn] pid file /usr/local/apache/logs/httpd.pid overwritten -- Unclean shutdown of previous Apache run?

Also when I transfer sites over from another server, the sites won't show unless I give them a dedicated IP and access them using this IP. If I don't access them like this, all I get is the apache test page. I use name based hosting for my users and can't live with this.

Any ideas are highly appreciated...

P.S. No error logs entries are generated when I try to restart apache from WHM, but it doesn't restart and it gives an error in WHM.
