how to migrate a site

a friend of mine wants me to host his stuff. He does not have an ftp account (lost password) and just plain html stuff and images online.

Could you please tell me the fasted method to get a copy of this stuff onto my server?

I was thinking about using a offline reader but this will modify all the links....
