Fin_wait1
I have a FIN_WAIT1 (netstat indicates it) that actually doesn't intend to "FIN"...finish. It's there for hours. Could someone advice me on how I could get rid off it...or in general how to control those FIN_WAIT1 on a red hat 7.3 CPanel server.
And with the chance of talking about FIN_WAIT1...I have heard of an attack type that uses this method to eat all the memory and eventually bring down the server. I haven't found many infos on these attacks and how to handle them. Any information or discussion about it wiil be great.
