Telnet access on shared servers
it seems on the RaQ3 box where I have my site, there is a serious security problem: People with telnet access (actually SSH) can browse through other peoples websites:
What I mean is, if my site is at
home/sites/site29/web
I can simply cd to home/sites/site25 (the site of someone else) and look around.
This way, someone can look into my php files and will find my password for MySql.
What's the usual methode to fix this problem i.e. prevent users on the same box to look into one anothers sites?
I think this is a serious problem. Also I have some graphics work on my password protected site and it would be very bad if someone could steal those graphics especially since I haven't filed the TM for my logo yet.
Any suggestion?
