ticketsmith mysql error --> Got an error reading communication packets

I can't login to ticketsmith anymore.
In the mysql error log I see this when i try to reach it but can't:

010620 18:20:18 Aborted connection 1105 to db: 'unconnected' user: 'root' host: 'my hostname' (Got an error reading communication packets)
