Setting Up Server for Colo | Need Help with Settings
Hi,I'm setting up a server with Red Hat Linux to be sent out for colocation, but I'd like to test the server at my house before sending it out.
I need to download various packages like php, mysql, proftpd, etc so I would need to connect it to my router. I'm at the step where it asks to use DHCP or specify the ip settings. My router will auto assign ips, so I was going to select DHCP, but I'm guessing I will need to alter that when I sent the server out, correct? If so, what would the command be to do that for the future? Also, do I have the right idea with DHCP to setup a DSL connection through my router?
Thanks,
Mark
