email server at home?
just got a question: i have setup imail server on my cable connection at home. i have been able to send email to some server, yet get rejected by some server. i found out that i needed a PTR record because some server do a reverse lookup to verify ip and domain name before accepting the emails. i called my registrar to ask if they could add a PTR record to their DNS server, but was told no. the options i can change in the registrar's web control panel are A, MX, and Alias record. is there a way around this? or is there a place i can add this PTR record?
any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
