4.00, 4.00, 4.00 load average
on one of my servers, linux reports a load average of 4.00, 4.00, 4.00 and it doesn't move. I see that using the "uptime" command and also on my mrtg stats.
However, I know it's not the real load as this server is a P3 1.13ghz with 512mb RAM so it would die with that load and the server is still very fast. When doing "top", I don't see anything using a lot of ram or cpu.
The server has only 1 site on it using about 50gb of bandwidth a month and serving only static files.
Does anybody know how to fix it so it reports the real load average ?
By the way, this server crashes every couple of days, could this be related ?
