setting up dns server

ive had a ded server, but never bothered to setup a dns server, with ns1.mydomain and ns2.mydomain, etc... this post is just to go over the steps and a couple questions... best way to do things is right the first time...

also, ive never had a ded server with more than one ip, so, this post might be sort of vauge, but please help me along if you would...

i have a server with ensim 3.1.3-4, (_gag_) and redhat 7.2...

i grabbed an extra ip to set them both up, lets call them xx.xxx.xx.1 and xx.xxx.xx.2

now... before we get into the dns end of it, is there anything i have to set up on the server itself regarding the extra ip?

after that if there is, i simply go to my registrar, and create ns1 and ns2 with the two addresses, wait for them to resolve, make sure everything is correct, then login to ensim, and set those as the primary and secondary name servers in the bind configuration? then if everything works out, i just point the domains to the name servers like normal... correct? or have i missed something?
