Determining client email setup
For example, do they have their own mail server with full account access or are they simply using aliases to forward to another ISP account? ie test@test.com forwards to test@myisp.com
Do they even have a mail/pop/smtp domain of their own?
Some clients don't actually know the answer to this and it makes it difficult when trying to scope out their email hosting needs. If we have to setup all new accounts and reconfigure their outlook client, that could take much longer than setting up some forwarded accounts.
I was wondering if there was a way to check this remotely in case they don't have the technical knowledge to answer the questions.
