Arguing over pointless topics such as new bills being passed, posting your opinions on how things could possibly turn out in relation to that bill, etc is pointless. It accomplishes nothing and wastes space. Also, a lot of people have been posting recent advisories. If everybody doesn't already check on those security sites regularly then they are beyond the help we can provide through this message board. So thanks for the info but... we already know! Do you want me to make in depth posts about how to use ls, du, touch, etc and the benefits of certain commands or make a post every time a new kernel comes out and go on about how much keeping up to date will help keep you secure?
Please don't abuse this board with your opinions. If you must give your opinions then clearly state that it is your opinion so you don't confuse people who don't know the facts! I try to give helpful advice and clearly note when I'm giving people my personal opinions based on past experiences. It is annoying to have to filter through nonsense posts and those of people who have real questions and need assistance.
