updated to apache to 1.3.27 and php 3.0 but IMAP didnt configure with PHP I think. Anything requiring Imap errors out

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imap_open() in /home/user/blahblah and looking at php info I dont see IMAP configured into PHP.. did something get overlooked? and should I rebuilt php manually and just configure it with IMAP?
