IP banning

Argg need a little help, I've got a guy who's accessing my forums repeatedly through some sort of keep alive process and adding a lot of processes to my server and I can't seem to shut him out.

No idea what he's actually doing as the server is still running fast as ever and memory usage etc still more or less normal but I want to ban this guys IP from my server before he starts to cause trouble.

Any one know how I can do this with whm/cpanel/htaccess or anything at all?
