To RPM or not to RPM
If you had a choice between installing an RPM, or compiling from source (this is assuming you are using an RPM capable box, of course), which would you choose to do?
Personally, I would rather compile from source, I like to be able to take advantage of the features _I_ want in a program, rather than being limited by the features provided by the RPM package. But for simple things, I usually just download the RPM.
Just wanted to know where other people stood.
