A few linux questions?

Well, my server got self-restarted again... i gotta make something with it... So, I have a few questions, please help me:

1) I got this message in my /var/log/messages
Mar 3 13:38:58 ultimate-guitar syslogd 1.4.1: restart.

does that mean that someone restarted the box, or that doesnt mean anything?

2) somewhere below the first line I found:
Mar 3 13:38:58 ultimate-guitar kernel: kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k scsi_hostadapter, errno = 2

I think it somehow related to scsi drives?... though i dont have it in my box anyaway...

3) df command:
/dev/hda1 1035660 76624 906428 8% /
/dev/hda7 32257372 1864660 28754084 7% /home
/dev/hdc1 38468908 3336164 33178612 10% /home2
none 517008 0 517008 0% /dev/shm
/dev/hda6 1035660 451248 531804 46% /usr
/dev/hda5 1035660 85852 897200 9% /usr/local
/dev/hda3 1035692 246724 736356 26% /va

you see /dev/shm (shared memory) filesystem row is "none". is that ok?

4)finally, why the server is reloading from time to time by itself? where can I check for more info? maybe I can find some logs about the health of the system before it restarting?

thanks!
