Couple Hardware Questions
I am testing some configurations to offer dedicated servers to the public. Here we go:
One board I am testing has some issues it seems, cannot get into bios (Intel motherboard 2.0ghz celery processor with MB P4 INTEL D845GLADL PGA 478 RTL). I was testing with 333mhz DDR from crucial. The power is clean, from a nice enermax powersupply that is fully functional.
My question is, is DDR memory not backwards compatable? The motherboard's manual makes no mention of being able to utilize 333mhz DDR, but I was under the impression that it was backwards compatable.
On another note, I am looking for a fan that can accomodate celery 2.0 ghz and/or p4 up to 3ghz with a *very* low profile. Ideally I will use 1u cases for this application and as you all know there isnt alot of headroom in there
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am anxious to begin testing these configurations and get them out to the public.
