RH 7.3 dies / freezes without any apparent error
I moved from RH7.1 to RH7.3 two weeks back. Since then my system has died three times, leaving it useless and calling up my dcop for reboot.
The first time it dies, the dcop told me there was some error message on console which said "error while trying to mount NFS mount", can't quite recall the exact text. He told me he would not worry about this error as it could be a system glitch and may not occur again.
The next two time the server dies, dcop said there were no error on console. Also, i scanned all logs but could not quite find the reason why.
Also, i am absolutely sure that my server load would not be over 3.0, normally it hovers around 1.0.
Also, i have had a record uptime of over 10 months with my earlier 7.1 box and have migrated all customers from this to the new 7.3 so i do not see a customer code causing any problem.
I am sure this is a system glitch / server config issue. My hosting providers are clueless as they say they do not see anything in logs.
Please help me as to how to go about investigating this issue, where and how to start with.
