Cisco Router Config

I have just purchased a Cisco 2610 that I will be using sometime later this year for a new application. I want to learn as much about it as possible before I install it anywhere.

I have worked with various equipment before but never the Cisco IOS. I have searched and read as much information about it as possible but I don't seem to get a good tutorial for a newbe to follow.

Cisco has alot of documents but the commands right now seem hard to follow, though I am told someone experienced in this can figure it all out in a few hours. Do you all have a good support website to read more about how to configure them. Possibly know a good book to get, I skimmed about 5 of them at the store the other day.

What I would like to do right now is use it as a router at home. I have 4 static's I would like to route to different machines and a entire WiFI network at home that runs on DHCP.

Any help would be appreciated...
