Anyone with digichat server experience?

I have an existing customer who wants to sign up for another account. He needs basic requirements for his message board and photo storage, and the ability to install digichat. We're putting together a custom plan on a semi-dedicated server because I know java isn't the most resource friendly.

With that being said, the site has a VERY exclusive userbase. Meaning, only 80 members total, not all of them active, and not just anyone can use the site. So he said the chat is not even active everyday, and when it is, it is only usually a few people.

Infact the site is so "slow" that even with 1.5 gigs of photo storage, he only goes through about 3 GB/month in bandwidth. So I know a digichat with dozens of people online all the time would be pretty intense, but if anyone who has run digichat before with very limited usage, do you have any rough numbers or performance issues? The server is fairly well equipped as far as CPU and RAM is concerned, and with the few other sites hosted on it now the loads are between .1 and .4 depending on the time of day.
