if ip illigally used by someone else, can i still login?
this morning, i did a reboot, but then my server never came back up. i had to seek help from my provider. i thought it was the firewall which blocks my access. but then found out in boot.log that the ip is used by someone else so i couldn't log in.
after reviewing the boot.log, i found that my other ips on the same server still brought up (ipaliases).
so i am just wondering, even if the main ip is illegally used by someone else, is there a way to login still? without adding a second nic and using a second port.
