SERIOUS Cpanel BUG: Changed IP, Now FTP = BAD! Help!
I have a serious issue I really need help on, we just recently moved servers to a different NOC and after the move we had to change some odd 400 IP addresses on one server, and after that, all the USERS ftp accounts became lost.
The server is running:
WHM 6.2.0
Cpanel 6.2.0-E7
RedHat 8.0
I need a solution to fix the FTP accounts all at once if possible.
MY CURRENT SOLUTION(works for individual accounts)
1.Tweaked the FTP settings to run PureFTPd instead of Proftpd.
This was because under /var/log/messages it kept saying User not found for the right user, and when you added a user it wouldnt even pick up new users.
2. Change accounts password.
This somehow reset the pass to the right one and once we synced the ftp passwords it would provide a valid login. But it wouldnt work if you didnt change the password.
3. Sync ftp passwords.
I need to know if anyone has a better way to do this, because it is effecting all of the domains under the changed ip.
