Apache ModRewrite on subdomains w/Cpanel
Bit of a longshot this one (possibly...) but would appreciate any advice on whether this is possible.
What I would like is to have a main domain.com, with users setup at at username.domain.com. Obviously this is simple to do with Cpanel.
However, would it be possible to map http://user.domain.com to http://www.domain.com/exec.php?user=user sort of thing?
Basically, I want each 'user' to have their own domain (for bandwidth monitoring purposes etc) but so that all subdomains get mapped onto a 'main' script which does all the actual processing.
I only really have access to .htaccess to apply the RewriteRules so changing any apache confs is not an option.
Is this possible at all? I've been playing around with it for a few hours but am not that experienced in the magic of Apache really.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
