"Setup Remote MySQL server" feature in Cpanel

I want to buy another server just for mysql database and wonder how this feature works in Cpanel. It will be very helpfull if somebody answer my questions below.

1) What will it do, when I'll enter there in the form my host mysql.domain.com and root password?

2) Will it uninstall mysql on current host?
