Routing Switches
I am looking at purchasing a Layer 3 switch to do some basic routing for me. I am currently in a colocation facility and need to roue bandwidth over two seperate networks. I was just wondering what type of equipment would I really need? Would say an Extreme Networks Summit 24 or 48 work fine? Do I need just basic Layer 3 or Full layer 3? How would such traffic actually be routed, fastest route, etc?
Note: I am just looking to route traffic over two phyisically seperate networks, two different IP's, etc.
