search application with sql db.

well i dont know how exctaly to explain this but anyway i will try my best.

i am looking for a search application with frontend maybe php or cgi or even asp and at the backend mysql database. this is application is only need for making a search on some records in the db and displaying the results in the users web browser.

anyone knows such a thing?

i would prefer a free one cause if it's not free then i would prefer to make one on my own with my mates.
