Webmail error

I get an error when I try to login to IlohaMail on my server :

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: php_hostconnect: connect failed in /home/httpd/htdocs/IlohaMail/include/imap.inc on line 193

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to localhost:143 in /home/httpd/htdocs/IlohaMail/include/imap.inc on line 193

Someone has any idea why I get this and how can I fix it?
