Very easy question

Hi,

I would like to recompile my PHP with
the following command:

./configure i386-redhat-linux --prefix=/usr ....etc..etc

But my server gives me

bash: ./configure: No such file or directory

Is there something wrong with my server?

Thanks for any reply. I'm a newbie in linux.
