how to create a backup server ?
I have 2 servers one with burstNet and one with DedicatedNow.
My Main sites are hosted on DedicatedNow servers. and i want to use BurstNET server as backup server when Dedicatednow server is down or not working..
When i say backup server, i did not mean to say backup for data.. e.g. if the DedicatedNow server is down, and user is accessing our website, he can open a page from our BurstNET server saying, "we are under maintanence.. please check later."
the moment our DedicatedNow server come up, it should start pointing to dedicatedNow.
How can i do all this ?
Here is what i have done, and failed.
i update my domain Record with following name servers
ns1.Dedicatednowserver.com
ns2.BurstNEtserver.com
and then created an account in Dedicated now server using Cpanel and then created an account in BurstNET server. after that i uploaded all my original site in DedicatedNow server.
and only uploaded 1 file on burstNet server showing server under maintanence..
after doing these settings, i check and found that, our websites keep pointing to DedicatedNow server for some time, and after that they start showing "server under maintanence." and start pointing to BurstNET server. we checked DedicatedNow server, and it was working fine...
why it start pointing to BurstNET server even when Dedicatedserver is online and working...
