How can you set up redundancy in shared hosting account?
I'm assuming this is possible? I'd like to know if you can have a site on a shared hosting account and have redundancy on another server in the event of server failure on the main server.1. If so, does that mean I have to upload files to both servers every time I update the site?
2. If I have a MySQL database on the first server, and the server goes down, thereby kicking the 2nd server into action, how does the 2nd server get the latest db data?
3. If redundancy is possible in this way, does this theoretically give me 100% uptime? Assuming, of course, that both servers are not down at the same time?
4. How does redundancy in a shared hosting environment compare to setting the site up on 2 dedicated servers? Does the ded server option give me better chance at 100% uptime?
Just trying to get a feel for how to avoid any downtime.
Thanks for your help.
