Using 2 or more servers?

If you place ns1.yourname.net on Server 1, and ns2.yourname.net on Server 2, would you be able to access www.clientname.com on server 2 if his DNS is set as both ns1 and ns2?

If yes, then what do you do for server 3 and up? I am going to assume that you would need for the DNS to be ns3.yourname.net and any clients hosted with you, would need their DNS to be ns3 and ns4, is this correct?
