Advice Needed!

i have a client that has added a domain to his account. He tried to remove it and gets this message
"unable to find user that owns the domain solarmall.com"

I have manually edited the /var/usr/cpanel/~username file to remove these entries. There was close to 7 for the same domain.

Now, the DNS entries are removed, but logging into his cpanel, i see the domain name there twice uner addon domain managment.

Also it will not allow me to remove the subdomain associated with this domain name. Any suggestions?

This server is running cpanel 6.4.2-RELEASE and this is the only account having problems at the moment. is this a sign of things to come?
