Microsoft Survey for SUS 1 and beyond

Microsoft has published a Microsoft Software Update Service 1.0 Customer Survey and 2.0 Beta Nomination. This is

a good opportunity for System Managers to have input in the next version.

Don from Microsoft writes...

To help us better understand our customers and make more informed decisions on features for future versions of

Microsoft Software Update Services (MSUS), we've published the MSUS 1.0 Customer Survey. Our goal is to obtain

general information on the types of environments that MSUS is currently used in, as well as how it's used.

The survey consists of multiple choice questions and should take about 15 minutes to complete.

To complete the survey and receive priority consideration for the MSUS 2.0 beta program, please go to

http://www.betaplace.com/. The BetaPlace website requires sign-in using

Microsoft .NET Passport; once signed in you will be asked for either a Beta ID or a Guest ID. Choose the Guest ID

option, and enter "MSUS10Survey" (it *is* case sensitive) to access the MSUS page and link to the survey.

If you prefer to remain anonymous and provide input for future versions of MSUS you can access a similar survey at

the Microsoft

website. Anonymous survey submitters cannot be considered for the MSUS 2.0 Beta program since we would have

no way to contact you, but information about your environment and usage of MSUS will still be very valuable to us!

I encourage everyone to take 15 minutes to complete the survey. Here's your chance to be heard - help us improve

MSUS by ensuring we have sufficient input!

If you have questions or concerns about the survey please feel free to contact me directly (see my signature for

instructions on how to do that).
