I have a php/mysql based site totally depending on the MySQL database. Now I am planning to switch to another host, but the problem is while changing the name servers, there can be a grace period of upto 72 hours during which some visitors will be registered to the current db, while some other visitors will access to the new sites db.
I remember in the past I found a script/file that you have to put in the old servers public_html folder, and any traffic to that site will be automatically routed the new sites IP.
If anyone has this solution or any other methods to tackle this, please let me know.
