Apache 1.3.28 Zombie/Defunct Process Bug:
If you have updated to apache 1.3.28 before 2pm EST Sunday July 20th, you should update it again as a serious flaw has been discovered which prevents child proceses from terminating. We have developed a patch that resolves this problem, however you must rebuild apache to get this fix.
I was wondering why I had some 700 zombie procs!
