Hardware IDE Raid + Redhat Kernel
Ok does anyone know of any IDE Hardware Raid controllers that are supported by Redhat 7.2 (and up) out of the box? Meaning no recompiling the kernel, no specail modules that may or may not get updated when the kernel updates are released.I had a Promixe TX-2000 but it needed modules loaded for it, and the system wouldn't boot off of it, then the first kernel upgrade came along and Promise didn't update the module at the same time so I was stuck with either no RAID or no updated kernel. Also I couldn't get Redhat to boot off of that controller, it only worked as a non boot data system.
So if anyone knows of hardware raid that's basically "set it and forget it" let me know.
