Emails retrieval during nameserver transfer?

Dear all,

Hi, I'm a newbie, sorry if I ask too stupid a question.. Emails retrieval during nameserver transfer? I have a friend who currently has a webspace with another company. She wants to transfer her site under my nameserver. She already has a domain name. I was wondering if during the transfer, will she eventually be able to retrieve those mails that were sent to her during the transfer period? If not, what can be done to "save" or redirect these emails for retrieval later? If it can be done, how do I go about doing it?


How long does the transfer of nameserver usually take?
