Internal & External IP's
Windows Server 2000 & 2003 have the ability to assign multiple IP's to a single NIC port. Should I assign both an internal IP (192.168.0.x) and an external IP (216.165.0.x) to each of my Web Servers NIC ports so that I can access my Backup and Deployment servers over the internal network, using the internal IP, while allowing the same NIC ports to be used for external HTTP requests, or should I install another Dual NIC for external IP's?Also, on my Web Servers, when assigning Virtual Web Server IP's to individual domains do I need to assign those IP's to the external NIC ports?
Thank you for any assistance.
