Email receiving problems

Hi everyone,

I've been having intermittent email problems for several days now. I need to find a way to explain it to my hosting company's tech support. They appear to be a bit thick.

A few bits of basic info first to help explain:

Using Outlook Express.
Effecting all email accounts in my reseller including my main account.
C Panel/WHM.
Shared server and IP.
The problems started before the big power blackout.:-)

I can send and receive through OE at all times but most of the time there are no new emails to receive. I and my friends have sent many test emails from other email accounts using different hosts/ISP's. Most of the test emails never arrive but they are not bounced back to the sender or anyone else. Every once in awhile I receive a few spam emails so it's working part of the time. There is no obvious pattern to the emails I do receive (not from any particular domain or sender). I have tried using webmail (NeoMail) and sometimes I get this error message: Couldn't open *******-session-0.304746986673312! and other times I can get in but there are no emails in the inbox of any of my accounts. I know for a fact that I have lost several emails of some importance. This is really bad for a couple of my web design/hosting clients, they are bass fishing guides and get a lot of business through email inquiries.

What I'm asking is, how can I explain this to the support people in a short to the point way. Also if anyone has any idea as to what the problem might be, I would appreciate your thoughts so I can relay them to support. The only response that I have had in over 24 hours is "Hello,
The mail accounts are working fine at our end. We sent test mails to the accounts ed@*********.com and catfish@*********** which is working without any problem. Please check the following steps for configuring Outlook mail client." and then the basic info on how to configure OEEmail receiving problems I did receive their test emails and a few others but then it went back to receiving nothing.

I purposely omitted the email addresses because I get enough spam already. I didn't mention the webhost either because they get really upset when someone starts a negative thread about them. I know I shouldn't be intimidated by them but sometimes it's easier to get support that way. I got sucked in to getting a reseller account with them and now that I've moved everything over, they are giving almost zero support.

If they don't resolve this problem soon or at least respond that they are trying to resolve it I'll post a thread under the Webhosting forum with the full story of what I've been going through including the name of the host..
