moving reseller site to new server, advice needed
I need some advice on how get things running with minimal downtime. I am moving my reseller account and clients to my own dedicated server running cpanel/whm.
I'll use blah.com as my example...so I have ns1.blah.com and ns2.blah.com running as nameservers on my reseller account from my original host. All my clients are also using ns1.blah.com etc.
On my new dedicated server it wont allow me to make ns1.blah.com because it exist. How should I proceed with making name servers? If I delete the name servers then my client's accounts will go down, but is that how I should do it? Im thinking of making dns1.blah.com & 2 with a new set of ips and once they are registered switch all the accounts to dns1.blah.com instead of ns1.blah.com & ns2. Will that work?
Im sure alot of you have done this at some point in time and hopefully can guide me down the right path =)
