I'm looking for simple easy to follow instructions for how to setup rsync both on my main server and (if necessary) on the server I wish to backup my files to. What I want to do is to use rsync to backup the entire /var/www/ tree from my main server to a backup server via cron every 24 hours set to copy over only changed files, and do this without puting either server's security in risk obviously.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can point me in the right direction or give me a step by step tutorial.
