Upgrading the Kernel on DELL Poweredge 2650's
Hey,I feel like a total idiot for asking, but I havent ever had this happen to me before while upgrading the kernel. Usually it goes smoothly. I tried upgrading my DELL PowerEdge 2650's Kernel, using up2date w/ redhat. The kernel upgrade didn't like the scsi drive apparently, it kernel panic'd with "unable to mount root fs".. I rebooted with linux-up.bak and it seemed to come up ok. Anyone know how to fix that? DedicatedNow's old kernel doesn't have full IPTable support, so I was updating with redhat's default and it went retarded.
