I managed to get BIND up and running on FreeBSD 5.1 and it is currently working for forward DNS. My reseller set it up so my IP's no longer resolved to the data center and said I have control over reverse DNS for my IP's. I have set reverse DNS and so far it has not resolved. Here is the line that appears is the config file:
186.48.246.66.in-addr.arpa. IN PTR sinfulangel.org
Now I believe the line is correct. Is there another setting I have to make in the configuration of BIND to enable reverse DNS. My reseller has assured me that if everything functions correctly I should be able to set my own reverse DNS so there must be a setting I am missing. Any help would be appreciated
