Rackshack QuickSSL
I'm interested to know what happens at renewal time -- is there a procedure to be able to renew the cert ahead of time and not lose any days, or do you have to apply for a new cert each year?
Applying for a new cert means that to be safe you need to do it at least the day before the old one expires, so you don't really get the full 365 days. This is what happens with I.n.s.t.a.n.t.S.S.L. certs bought under the reseller program at discounted pricing.
As Rackshack's GeoTrust QuickSSL price is a good bit less than I.n.s.t.a.n.t.S.S.L.'s for a possibly better cert, even if you lose a day or two at renewal time it's not a big deal?
PS: *Please* no arguments/flames about how good/nasty the companies are etc -- I'm only interested in the renewal process and the technical quality of the certs, *not* in the mud-slinging that seems to follow enquiries about SSL certs...
